Brought up to love Nature, Animals etc. Mam worked for Wildlife Photographer and Pioneer Ronald Thompson and it was he that instilled a passion for Nature and eventually Photography.First SLR was a Zenith TTL, followed by a Chinon and a Yashica FXD quartz. Then a Nikon FE2 and a Mamiya
120 MF 645 camera, folowed by a digital Nikon D70 and a new D300 Nikon.
I shoot mainly in Digital now and still use my Mamiya and scan Images on an Epson scanner 4490 Photo Perfection.I will be using a G4 processor to access more speed. CS3 and Nikon view programes for editing my Images.
Iam passionate about the energies of nature and how we Interact with these webs of energy. Intuition and field craft go hand in hand with my style. I love Wilderness areas, but also find wild in the garden and the park equally.
I am a Reiki master and I send energies out to the species and Earth whilst I await Photo oportunities. I only use a hide when necessary, otherwise I will create a screen or camouflage naturally. I prefer to use prime lenses, and not too big a lens as I prefer to be fully mobile. For the last 2 and a bit years I have concentrated my work with in a five mile radius in Norhamptonshire, UK. I hope to relocate to sea and Mountains sometime. I have been lecturing part time on a National Diploma Photography course at Stafford College. I also love to give power point presentations and slide shows on Species and their Habitats- as well as give careers advice.
Nature is my life, and I have been lucky enough and privileged to share eleven summers with wonderful people at Camp Winona, Moose Pond Maine, where I learned camping skills and taught as a Counselor and also Trips leader on wilderness locations across New England. I love light, sounds and colour and both extremes of the day, where the light is at its best. My ambitions are to revisit Alaska and Photograph Bears and Wolves in their native Habitats. Also I aim to write a book and have many published in Photography and the Art of Creative Intuition.
