Johns History and work record....
Born Denbigh North Wales 1963.One of Twins.. Kevin Evans a Photographer too. Brought up to love Nature, Animals etc. Mam worked for Wildlife Photographer and Pioneer Ronald Thompson and it was he that instilled a passion for Nature and eventually Photography.
I shoot mainly in Digital now.
Iam passionate about the energies of nature and how we Interact with these webs of energy. Intuition and field craft go hand in hand with my style. I love Wilderness areas, but also find wild in the garden and the park equally.
I am a Reiki master and I send energies out to the species and Earth whilst I await Photo oportunities. I only use a hide when necessary, otherwise I will create a screen or camouflage naturally. I prefer to use prime lenses, and not too big a lens as I prefer to be fully mobile. For the last 6 and a bit years I have concentrated my work with in a five mile radius in Norhamptonshire.
I have been back in Wales for a year which is so wonderful for photography. i am increasing my North Wales portfolio daily- and look forward to another beautiful autumn and Winter season. I have worked for Redcloud Photography as a Tutor around the UK for 2 years. I also run my own Workshops out on location in Wales and wherever people require me to come.
I use a Nikon D300 with 400mm lens 12-24mm lens and 70- 300mm lens VR. I use a benbo tripod and a few filters.
I am hoping to observe otters on the River where I live- and also get intimate Images of Dipper and Wild goat too.
The starry skiesa are so clear here- a project is due now!!!
I love to camp out and use my skills to full effect. cam[p Winona where I worked for 11 seasons taught me all I know about camping and survival skills.
Thanks to Blackpool and Fylde Wildlife Degree programme which fine tuned my field skills and knowledge of Biology.
